Angelene and I are deeply thankful to God for bringing us to work here in Shelbyville! It has been so clear to us that Crossroad Community Church is exactly where God wants us to be, and we love it here. Truly, the boundaries have fallen for us in pleasant places! (Psalm 16:6) I grew up in Lansing, Michigan, while my lovely wife Angelene grew up in Sacramento, California. God brought us together while studying at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, and my California girl hasn’t made it out of the Midwest since then! In 2001 we moved to western Michigan, where I continued my theological studies at Calvin Seminary and God began to increase our family. We now have 3 strong and active kids – Graham, Quinn and Alaithaya (Thaya for short). They keep us on our toes, but we are so grateful for their sharp minds and their hearts to know God. We have a passion to walk closer and closer with Jesus Christ, and to help others come to know and follow the Master as well. There is nothing more exciting and rewarding in this life than being conformed to the likeness of the Son of God! (Romans 8:28-29) |
