Where we meet:
We meet at the Crossroad Community Church most Sundays from 5:00-7:30 p.m.
Things we do for fun
King’s Island, Ichthus Festival, bowling, concerts, game nights, Indianapolis Indians, Pacers, Colts games, bonfires, girls night out, guys night out, paintball and much, much more!
Many of our teens help out in the nursery and children’s church. They also volunteer with Vacation Bible School. Lots of teens are active in their school’s Fellowship in Christian Athletes and See You At The Pole. A Summer Mission Trip is also usually planned to locations in neighboring states.
As youths growing up, we were rarely asked about our thoughts or opinions. In most cases, we were told exactly what was to be known or understood about a topic or situation by someone else. This is a form of “spoon feeding” which curbs independent thinking.
To accomplish effective teaching, it is essential that the student wrestles with important questions. We firmly believe this principle applies when discussing the meaning of God’s words in scripture. The students are asked questions to help us determine how much they know or understand the Bible. What a joy it is to learn that God’s word is actually being retained by the youth and helping them in their Christian walk!
We firmly believe the following scripture sums it all up when providing guidance for our youth. “Set an example of good works yourself, with integrity and dignity in your teaching. Your message is to be sound beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be ashamed, having nothing bad to say about us.” Titus 2:7-8 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
